The YALSAR walk Lincolnshire sponsored walk will make its debut this month. It will be held on the Whitsuntide (Spring) Bank Holiday weekend, the walk starts from Crowland which marks the south border of the county and ends 96 miles later at the Humber bridge to the north of the county. A team of walkers from Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Search and Rescue will make up the walking party and are attempting to complete the route in 48hrs or less.
The walk will start at 9:00pm Friday 27th May from Crowlands Trinity Bridge a unique triangular bridge that stands at the heart of the Lincolnshire town. All are welcome to come and cheer the guys as they start their journey. The planned route will go through:
• PinchbeckAnd will finish at the Humber Bridge around about 48hrs later. You will be able to follow our progress as the team will be making hourly updates on the YALSAR Twitter page, mobile phone signal permitting. You can download the full route from the link at the bottom of this page, as we would love your support if we pass were you live.
A donation no matter how small would be greatly appreciated and put to good use supplying the equipment and training needed for us to be as effective as possible. All members of YALSAR are volunteers so all monies raised go to ensuring the team is ready to help a person lost and in need or even save a life.
Team members are currently asking everyone they know to sponsor them. However, as we can’t ask all of you personally then we ask if you want to sponsor us please click on the “Donate Online” button and give a couple of pounds.
If you are part of a business or company who are interested in sponsoring YALSAR then we would be very happy to hear from you. We rely heavily on sponsorship to supply much of the equipment needed to conduct searches and we would be happy to put your company logo on the support vehicles which will be completing the whole road route.
